Lagu pop bernuansa Natal "Last Christmas" dirilis pada 1984 oleh grup musik Wham! dari Inggris sebagai singel promosi mereka yang berformat piringan 7 inci dan tidak tersedia secara komersial.

Grup yang dibentuk di Bushey pada 1981, dimotori oleh George Michael dan Andrew Ridgeley.

Lagu ciptaan Michael yang menceritakan kisah cinta terkhianati itu terdapat dalam album studio ketiga dan terakhir milik duo pop Inggris Wham! bertajuk "Music from the Edge of Heaven" dan "The Final" yang dirilis pada 1986.

Lirik lagu itu mengekspresikan kerentanan seseorang terhadap pengalaman asmara pahit saat perayaan Natal di masa lalu, di mana orang itu berharap di hari natal mendatang memberinya kesempatan untuk bertemu dengan cinta sejati.


Sejak kematian George Michael pada Hari Natal 2016, peringkat lagu "Last Christmas" terus melesat sebagai salah satu lagu perayaan natal terhebat sepanjang masa.

"Last Christmas" mencapai Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 untuk pertama kalinya pada tangga lagu tertanggal 15 Desember 2018 dengan menduduki peringkat 34. Dan mencapai nomor 1 pada UK singles chart tertanggal 3 Januari 2021.

Fenomena mendengarkan lagu "Last Christmas" selama musim liburan tahunan juga dikenal dengan istilah "getting Whammed", merujuk nama grup musik pelantun asli lagu tersebut.
