Lagu itu ditulis Jennie bersama sejumlah kolaborator barunya yaitu Claudia Valentina, Elle Campbell, Isabelle Zikai, Billy Walsh, Jelli Dorman, Lennard Oestmann alias Jumpa, dan Serban-Ionut Cazan.
Tiga nama penulis lagu yang disebut terakhir turut memproduseri lagu "Mantra" bersama produser musik asal Spanyol Pablo Díaz-Reixa alias el Guincho.
Lagu itu menunjukkan pertumbuhan Jennie sebagai seorang artis dengan kemampuan untuk menciptakan lagu yang memiliki musik yang unik dan bermakna.
Jennie menggambarkan "Mantra" sebagai "lagu ceria yang merayakan kekuatan dan kepercayaan diri seorang gadis serta mendorong setiap wanita untuk bersinar dengan caranya sendiri".
Video musik yang menyertai lagu "Mantra", disutradarai oleh Tanu Muino. Muino memulainya dengan sedikit sentuhan jenaka seperti pada film Rush Hour tahun 1998, yang memperlihatkan seorang gadis kecil bernyanyi mengikuti lagu tersebut di belakang mobil orang tuanya. Dari sana, Jennie tampil megah, keluar dari mobil antik dengan berbagai penampilan fesyen kelas atas yang memukau sambil menampilkan koreografi lagu tersebut.
Video musik tersebut telah memperoleh lebih dari 88 juta kali pemutaran sejak dirilis pada 11 Oktober 2024.
