Jakarta (ANTARA) - Lagu "Since U Been Gone" yang dirilis pada 2004 menampilkan vokal pop juara American Idol musim pertama tahun 2002 Kelly Clarkson dengan rangkaian nada yang bertenaga untuk album studio keduanya yang diberi judul "Breakaway".

Lagu ciptaan Max Martin dan Lukasz Gottwald dan rekaman yang diproduseri oleh keduanya itu sukses mengantarkan Kelly Clarkson memenangi "Penampilan Vokal Pop Terbaik" dalam ajang penghargaan Grammy ke-48 tahun 2006. Tahun itu, "Breakaway" juga dinobatkan sebagai "Album Vokal Pop Terbaik".

Lagu itu bercerita tentang seorang wanita yang merasa lega setelah putus cinta dan siap beranjak menata kembali hidupnya.

Video musiknya di kanal YouTube Kelly Clarkson pada 25 Oktober 2024 telah memperoleh lebih dari 125 juta kali pemutaran sejak diunggah pada 28 September 2010.
