Jakarta (ANTARA) - Kesha Sebert atau yang dikenal dengan mononim Kesha merilis lagu "TiK ToK" pada 2009 sebagai single utama dari album perdananya "Animal".

"TiK ToK" bercerita tentang momen-momen seseorang mengalami kesenangan yang berlebihan. Bait pertama lirik lagu "TiK ToK" menyebutkan nama panggung penyanyi rap Amerika Serikat Sean Combs yang saat itu dikenal sebagai "P Diddy" dalam konteks menunjukkan keadaan bersemangat dan percaya diri saat bangun tidur di pagi hari.

Diddy menyanyikan"Hey, what up girl?" dan "Let's Go" pada bait pertama "TiK ToK".

Kesha menulis lagu "TiK ToK" bersama produser musik Lukasz Gottwald (Dr. Luke) dan Benjamin Joseph Levin (Benny Blanco).

Sejak kasus pelecehan seksual Diddy, Kesha beberapa kali mengubah bait pertama yang berisi "like P Diddy", antara lain menjadi "just like me" saat tampil di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, pada November 2023.
